How Can Circular Saws Defend Themselves in Adverse Weather Conditions?

Recently, a very famous and dangerous name has become popular in China. It is called "Baiwei Typhoon". The typhoon has strong winds and its power can cause railway suspensions, flight cancellations, and scenic area closures within its affected area, affecting more than ten provinces and cities. The National Weather Station has issued a yellow typhoon warning, an orange rainstorm warning, and a yellow strong convective weather warning. These warnings have a significant impact on people, livestock, transportation (airline/railway/highway shutdowns), agriculture (crop wilting/flooded farmland), power and communication (pole collapse/power outage), coastal aquaculture, and various outdoor mechanical equipment and high-altitude operations.
Shandong Wanli Company has now compiled preventive measures for high-speed circular saw machines during rainy weather in special weather conditions. The relative measures are as follows: Stop outdoor operations, strictly prevent water intrusion, dry thoroughly before resuming power supply, and conduct insulation tests before resuming work.
Key protective measures
. Environmental control: Move the equipment indoors or cover it with a compliant rainproof cover. Raise low-lying areas and set up drainage barriers. Do not place it outdoors; open the workshop dehumidifiers to control the relative humidity below 70%.
Electrical protection: Check the electrical control box/motor sealing strips, and seal the gaps with waterproof tape; ensure reliable grounding/zero connection, and must be equipped with leakage protection devices; do not shake the grounding resistance during thunderstorms.
Work prohibition: During heavy rain and strong winds, prohibit starting for debugging and processing; if the machine is soaked by rain or water immersion, execute the "three do nots" (do not power on, do not start the oil pump, do not rotate the main shaft).
Post-disaster handling: Completely cut off power supply, clear mud and water, dismantle the cover for natural ventilation or use a drying fan to dry for at least 24 hours; clean the circuit board with anhydrous alcohol, replace deteriorated cutting fluid/oil; conduct comprehensive insulation resistance testing and only resume work after reaching the standard accuracy by professionals.
Daily inspection priorities
1. Daily check for aging of lines, insulation damage, and leakage in the distribution box. Immediately stop and replace if damp or rusted.
2. Check the waterproof performance of cable connectors and the condensation on the machine body before and after work. Do not operate with faults.
3. Establish a special duty record for rainy weather, and focus on monitoring the water accumulation trend and abnormal electrical temperature rise.
4. If the equipment is soaked in water, do not blindly power on. Contact the manufacturer's after-sales service for deep drying and accuracy calibration to prevent short circuits, fires, or main shaft damage.
